Overview
Parmarth Niketan is the largest ashram in Rishikesh, founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. Situated on the serene banks of the Holy Ganges under the presidency of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, the ashram features over 1,000 rooms surrounded by green gardens and sacred statues.
Every evening, Parmarth Niketan hosts its world-renowned Ganga Aarti at the Parmarth Ghat, led by ashram gurukula students. The ashram is also the host venue for the annual International Yoga Festival every March.
